Gender-based violence: It is the sector responsible for providing response and prevention to survivors of women and girls who have been at risk. The sector also works to raise awareness about gender-based violence in the community of the targeted areas in northern Syria, especially women and adolescent girls who are considered among the most vulnerable groups in These communities, and the sector’s projects mainly aim to raise awareness about gender-based violence, rehabilitate women, girls and the elderly, as well as people with special needs psychologically and professionally, to be more effective in local and host communities, and also aim to create a safe environment and spaces that allow women and girls to obtain on public awareness activities.
The number of projects implemented in this sector over the past five years has reached 14, targeting nearly 90,000 of the above-mentioned categories.
