Shafak was officially established in 10-10-2013 (registration no. 27-016-129). It was founded during the early months of the Syrian Crisis in 2011. At its core, Shafak is a grassroots NGO that was formed by Syrians for Syrians, with the intent of addressing the needs of their life with dignity, equality and humanity with a focus on sustainability and autonomy.

Shafak is an impartial, independent, non-profit NGO that exists for the express purpose of providing humanitarian services to vulnerable people regardless of political or religious affiliations and on the long run to contribute to recover and rebuilding the society on freedom, justice and equality basis.

The finance team member will be assisting the archiving department in the day to day tasks to receive, arrange, and archive all the financial documents and make sure that all the original documents are in place.

  • The casual labor will be assisting the archiving department in the day to day tasks to receive, arrange, and archive all the financial documents and make sure that all the original documents are in place.
  • Provide assistance to the archiving team in maintaining documentation processes and issues.
  • Assist and support the archiving team in scanning financial documentation processes.
  • Support Finance in scanning documents and submission to auditors in clearing and closing audit queries.
  • receive all Field office financial documents, arrange them according the projects, changing the copies with originals, and properly and systematically label them and store them safely.
  • Perform any other financial tasks as assigned by the supervisor or delegate.

  • Good documentation and archiving skills,
  • Well organized, and High attention to detail,
  • A commitment to working constructively with members of other teams and a service-oriented attitude.
  • Good Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook email)
  • Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines.
  • Very Good Arabic and English language skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Turkish citizenship
